How do you reflect a maturing focus? Change your blog’s name!

Today brings a new name to this blog: Blog on Wiki Patterns. Since I started Using Wiki in Education in October 2005 to share my ideas for wiki use, conversations with others and experiences, it has played an important role in my work, spawned a book, Using Wiki in Education, and now plays a part in my current work as Wiki Evangelist for Atlassian, and as the person behind Wikipatterns.com.

In the last six months, one of my main projects in the larger wiki community has been the launch and cultivation of Wikipatterns.com as a central resource for all wiki users, regardless of what tools they use. As Wikipatterns has grown, so has my focus on patterns and strategies as the tools of wiki use, and so it makes sense to rename my blog to better reflect what I’m talking about most. Naturally, education will still be a focus, which is why I’ve added the tagline, “in education, business, and the enterprise.” The way I think of it, patterns are the universal tools that can help guide wik use in any situation, so let’s focus our conversation on making the best use of them!
