Using Wiki in Education has a new home

As of this morning, Using Wiki in Education has a new home! Over the past few days, some of you might have noticed that the site was unavailable for large chunks of time since last Thursday. A special thanks to Alan Levine for emailing me to make sure I knew something was wrong – all hail the CogDog!

I don’t like to wax negative, so I’m not going to point any fingers at the host wih which I’ve had these problems (since I’m still using them for some other projects), but to make a long story short I’ve been thinking of switching to (mt) Media Temple for a while now, and this just gave me the kick-in-the-pants I needed to actually do it. Am I glad I did! At 10:30(PST) on a Sunday night, a very helpful support engineer got my new account activated and within a couple of hours I had moved everything and redirected ikiw.org to point to Media Temple’s servers. I’ve already noticed a speed improvement, thanks to their grid-server technology, and I’d highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new host. In less than 24 hours, I’m already a very happy customer!
