Another open-source wiki backed by a company – MindTouch

MindTouch, a startup which currently sells a wiki appliance running a modified version of MediaWiki, is set to announce tomorrow at the O’Reilly Open Source Convention that it is releasing two open source projects. CNET News.com reports that it will make available an open-source version of its wiki software, Deki, as well as MindTouch Dream, the Web 2.0 application development framework used to build Deki. The company is also launching OpenGarden, a web site housing documentation and developer resources for MindTouch Dream. According to the CNET article, the company hopes that this will help developers and potential users become more familiar with its products, which is likely a reason behind Socialtext’s similar announcement of Socialtext Open.
