Links: Wiki in Enterprises Survey, Wikipedia redefines editing policy for some articles, the original hard bloggin’ scientist

  • Tim Bartel of the University of Cologne is conducting a survey on the use of Wiki in Enterprises. Let’s help Tim get the best data possible on the tool we love!
  • the New York Times reports on changes Wikipedia is making to its policy on editing. Some articles that have been the subject of repeated vandalism or very heated debate will be protected from editing. Others will be semi-protected, so that only users who have had Wikipedia user accounts (which are free to create) for at least four days. Fully proected articles will stay so indefinitely, while semi-protected articles will be reopened to full editing once the controversy/vandalism has quieted down.
  • the original hard bloggin’ scientists is a community of scientists who actively use their blogs to discuss their work, seek peer input and provide input to other blogging scientists, and promote active discussion of science as a form or freedom of speech.
